THE OTHER SIDE OF THE SEA

The island Mitilini of Greece

        When I surf on Internet I realized something very interesting about Mitilini and Babakale. Many things are looking so like to each other . The cultures,  people ,villages, panaromas, meals, even sitting on chair, hats, mustaches are the same with others. I decided myself there is some relation between them in many way. It probably may depend on living together years and years.If the people living other side of the sea forgive me I show some pictures from  web sites of lesvos to prove this similarity.

Sigri Castle

Babakale Castle

      The castles in Sigri (Mitilini) and Babakale (Turkey) built by Ottoman Empire in 18th century. I think their architectures are the same.

ouzo and fish(I think so)

raki and fish(I am sure)

        And the people drinking ouzo or raki... I'm sure they are eating the same savory foods with ouzo or raki. For instance there must be salty sardalles, cacik(tzcaciki), oliveoil with thyme(some kind of sweet-smelling spice ), pilaki, dolma (dolmades)
